We have recently had a 3-D cone beam scanner installed in the practice. This enables us to take very accurate 3-D images of patients' jaws so that we can accurately assess the bone volume available prior to implant placement.

Dr. Yeow-Chong Lim, a registered specialist periodontist, has taken periodontal and implant referrals in practices from Singapore to Harley Street, London, and has been involved in national and international conferences for the past 20 years. The Dental Implant Clinic's founder, Dr Jonathon Schofield, has been invited to give a one day masterclass in dental implants, and how to make them look imperceptible from natural teeth, to the Ontario Society of Periodontists in Canada. Dr Schofield regularly lectures both nationally and internationally on dental implant matters. While in Canada he will also be lecturing to the Niagra Peninsula Dental Hygienist Study Club, on how to maintain implants in the long-term.

The Dental Implant Clinic has just had a professional new audio-visual solution installed in the operating theatre and lecture room. This will allow participants on our Courses to watch high definition live video from the theatre as surgery is performed, and we can also record Video Tutorials for other dentists, which can be bought online. The Dental Implant Clinic trains other dentists to place implants, and is the teaching centre for the Bristol University MSc in dental implantology.

The Dental Implant Clinic now has a Zeiss operating microscope in the Clinic, which enables us to perform root canal therapy and dental operations to the highest possible standard, assisting us in providing world-class patient care. Chris Lambert-Rose has a special interest in endodontics and will always try to preserve a tooth rather than uneccessarily extract it.

This means that patients at the Clinic can feel sure that they are being treated by experts, as very few implantologists in the UK have achieved this status.
